About
Amy LaFleur, M.A. CCC-SLP is a compassionate and client-centered speech-language pathologist, with nine years of experience and wide range of clinical expertise. Amy is certified by The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed as an SLP in New Jersey and New York. Amy has worked in many settings, treating child and adult clients across a variety of diagnoses and levels of care.
In her personal life, Amy is a caregiver for her mom, who was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia, a rare form of Dementia in 2012. She is an active volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association, and served as President of the Young Professional Alzheimer's Council (YPAC) from 2018-2021, organizing many fundraisers and educational events including; Walk To End Alzheimer's Events, The Longest Day Events, and a Rare Dementia Panel. She has presented at the Hudson Valley Annual Young Caregiver Symposium in 2020 and 2021. She currently continues to serve on the YPAC board.
